The main building was designed with a higher mass to show respect to the traditional melayu building with stage house. The ramp was designed to surround the PSMTI building as an analogy to a dragon curling the columns inside the building where all those columns served as a metaphor of the diversity in Chinese surnames, and the roof of the PSMTI building had taken the traditional Chinese roof with a high slanted ceilings and curvy top with gold colour as a symbol of prosperity.
