VIVI HOUSE

This project was one of the full house renovation project developed by Angkasa Architects starting from the floor plan, façade, and interior. The house was located in one of the elite housing area in Pekanbaru. The unique position of the house consisted of 2 façade because it was located between 2 main roads of the housing area therefore could be accessed through those 2 streets as well. The existing façade was a general style thus became a challenge for us to modify the image of ordinary of the house into extraordinary. The façade composition was rearranged by the placement of wood element in several parts combined with natural stones and marble along with the playful arrangement of canopy and bevel detailing on the house.

The overall existing layout was rearranged to be more convenient and widen. The first floor was separated between public and private through the courtyard. The courtyard area was functioned as a garden and consisted of skylight with maximum natural light. The living room area was designed with a double height ceiling, so that we would have a luxurious backdrop design for the television with bookmatch marbling. The 2^nd floor consisted of 1 master bedroom and 2 children bedrooms that were also separated by the courtyard continuation from the first floor.
